USGBC LEED PLATINUM CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS

The CHALLENGE:
To carve out an elliptical meeting space using recycled or reclaimed material for a responsibly green corporate model.

The PLAY:
Any building built by the United States Green Building Council needed to be LEED Platinum certified. To achieve the maximum number of LEED credits, all new materials needed to meet green criteria- contain recycled material- and communicate an overall commitment to sustainability.

Perkins+ Will approached 3form to be a material sponsor based on the premium quality and high recycled content of ecoresin along with the overall sustainable philosophy of 3form. The designers were able to add this high design/ low impact resin to an already sustainable installation of reclaimed wood beams and recycled stainless steel.

The RESULT:
The refined material is a colorful contrast to the rustic wood beams. Varia provides privacy without sacrificing natural light.
